Out's very first pop-up art extravaganza
Reeling from the world shifting pandemic and over two-dozen artist features in their digital gallery, Lights Out decided to have their first official pop-up art show, "Debut" – an art Extravaganza, on Preble Street in Portland, Maine. Transforming what was once a dim arcade-bar, the Lights Out team constructed a professional gallery space, showing 24 artists from across the state, exhibiting select works chosen by each artist for three nights and four days. This event brought creators, viewers and new community members together in mutual appreciation of local contemporary art.
